  • Timberland Investment Resources’ involvement in the Wisconsin SIC since 2015 underscores their firm conviction in the value of independent third-party SFI certification, validating their commitment to clearly defined standards for forest management and wood fiber sourcing. Being part of this organization offers us a chance to initiate bottom-up transformations within the forest management sector. Collaborating with partner organizations and stakeholders within the SIC framework encourages initiatives such as training, education, research, public outreach, and inconsistent practices monitoring. These collective efforts are all geared towards safeguarding our sustainable business model for the responsible management of Wisconsin's invaluable natural resources in the years to come.

  • Trees For Tomorrow is very appreciative of the support and grant funds we receive from WI SIC. As we educate the next generation of land managers and stewards, we also recognize the alignment with SFI’s mission to advance sustainability. The grant funding we receive ensures we can continue to offer affordable programs to our students as they explore the science of nature and natural resource management in the beautiful Northwoods.

  • PotlatchDeltic has been a member of the Wisconsin SIC since 2016. We strongly believe Independent third-party SFI certification provides a credible assurance that our forest management and our wood fiber procurement practices meet clearly defined standards, which have been developed and regularly reviewed by a range of stakeholders interested in the values forests provide. Our membership as a part of the WI SFI SIC provides a grassroots opportunity to enact change within the forest management sector and promote our core values as a company. The collaborative teamwork between partner companies and stakeholders found within the SIC framework promotes training/education, research, public outreach, and monitoring of inconsistent practices. This framework provides a safeguard to our business model ensuring we can continue to manage Wisconsin greatest resource into the future.
